About the Collaborative
The British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Collaborative (BHF CRC) is funded by the BHF and hosted by the British Cardiovascular Society. The purpose of the BHF CRC is to provide an infrastructure to support the planning and delivery of world-class clinical research in all aspects of cardiovascular disease. The BHF CRC will unite and coordinate the current clinical research efforts of the existing professional societies and clinical study groups (CSGs) in heart and circulatory diseases. The BHF CRC will enable these societies and study groups to identify and prioritise clinical research questions; develop robust and integrated study proposals; engage and mobilise clinicians in clinical research conduct; and enthuse, educate and enhance UK cardiovascular clinical research capacity and capability.
About the Role
We are now seeking a Clinical Lead for the BHF CRC. Working closely with a full-time Chief Operating Officer and a small administrative team, the post-holder will provide leadership to the BHF CRC. The post-holder will be an experienced strategic clinical research leader who can carry the confidence of the cardiovascular clinical and research community. The post is available on a 0.2FTE basis and is available until May 2022 in the first instance. It will be based at the offices of the BCS in London. This is a national leadership role.
